New Board member elected
A parent in the Emerson Elementary School area has been elected to join the Board of the La Crosse Public Education Foundation. Rochelle Nicks works in the Development Department at Catholic Charities. She and her husband, Aaron, have two sons, Oliver and Edison, and live in the Emerson Elementary attendance area.

Bowtie Classic to be held Sept. 3
The fourth Charlie Miller Bowtie Classic Golf Outing and Knowledge Open will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3 at the newly redesigned Forest Hills Golf Course in La Crosse. Registration that day begins at 8 a.m., with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The event ends with an early afternoon lunch.
