About My Project: La Crosse County has contacted Central High School in regards to making flag boxes for the flags they hand out to family members of veterans when they pass away. Students will be given the task to research, prototype, and build high quality flag boxes with all the appropriate dimensions to fit a folded American flag.

Students involved in this wood working project will be given an opportunity to learn not only wood working skills, but how to research, conduct appropriate testing methods, and turn prototypes into final products. Students will be volunteering their skills for a great cause and have a direct relationship with the community in which they live.

Where Your Donation Goes: Purchase a finish nailer and a brad nailer to allow students to build boxes.
(La Crosse County will cover the cost of other materials.)

All donations to LPEF are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged via letter. LPEF adds a small surcharge to offset credit card processing fees and related expenses. For more details, go to our About Support-a-School page.
