The newest member of the La Crosse School Board is also the newest member of the board of the La Crosse Public Education Foundation (LPEF).
Brad Quarberg was elected to the Board of Education in April. Following the school board’s reorganization meeting, Brad was selected to become the ex officio representative to LPEF. He replaces Robert McMahon Jr., who did not win re-election to the school board.
Brad is well known in the local schools as an active parent. Brad and his wife, Gail, have two children attending Logan High School, Nicolas, who is completing his junior year, and Merideth, who is completing her freshman year. Brad has been involved with the Logan High Parents Organization and the Logan High School Band Parents Organization.
Brad is a director of news and marketing at UW-La Crosse, where he has worked since graduating from the college in 1985.
In addition to many campus activities, Brad has been deeply involved in the community, including serving as president of La Crosse’s Oktoberfest and president of the La Crosse Valley View Rotary Club. He has been involved in Great Rivers United Way, Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement and various other organizations. He is an active member of English Lutheran Church.
