Charitable deduction changes in 2026
Did you know donors who take the standard deduction on their 2026 income taxes will be able to report charitable giving and receive a deduction ($1,000 single, $2,000 filing jointly) on top of the standard deduction? This is great news for donors and the causes they care about! Read more from the IRS about this change for 2026>>
Start early with special gift types!
If you’re thinking about making a year-end donation from a retirement account or other gifts of securities, it’s a good idea to start arrangements for these types of donations now, so the transaction can be completed before year-end.
Use your DAF to support public education!
If you have a donor-advised fund (DAF), consider directing a grant to LPEF to benefit public education. Get in touch with Nell to learn more about how a directing a grant through your DAF can support students in La Crosse Public Schools.
