Random Acts of Kindness
Supporting Students
For over 30 years, community giving has helped students get to school, be ready to learn, and able to participate fully in school activities through LPEF’s Random Acts of Kindness (RAK). Because each school has their own account, staff can respond quickly to student needs that arise, such as
- Basic needs like hygiene supplies and clothing
- Transportation needs like bus passes and bike repairs
- Activity expenses like field trip fees and college exam fees.
RAK helps kids focus on being kids and an Emergency Family account can also provide one-time financial assistance to help families maintain stability.
RAK is supported by community donations throughout the year, as well as annual distributions from the Random Acts of Kindness Forever Fund.
Annually between $45,000 – $55,000 is distributed to students through RAK.
