More than $18,000 available for second round of grants — applications due March 2

The LPEF Board of Directors recently approved adding money to the pot available this spring for classroom grants.

For the first time, LPEF is awarding grants in two cycles – almost $31,000 was awarded during the first round announced in December. Grant recipients were honored at our annual luncheon on Jan. 19, presented by Festival Foods and supported by more than a dozen other community sponsors.

Applications for the second round are due March 2. Teachers, staff, students and community members working with schools can apply. Awards will be announced in mid-April.
