At the La Crosse Public Education Foundation, our work is only possible through the generosity of those who believe in possibilities — the possibilities of a strong education, creative opportunity, and the potential of our children. Our organization depends on volunteers and donors to help make these possibilities a reality. Find more information in this section on how you can make a difference:

Every gift makes a difference in the lives of La Crosse school children

$35 – buys a nice backpack and supplies for a child in need

$50 – helps a student afford the ACT or SAT test for college admission

$100 – buys a good winter coat, hat and gloves for a needy student

$250 – covers the cost of unlimited city bus passes for five students each semester

$500 – buys more than 70 books designed to engage students in a love of reading

$1,000 — pays for a visiting artist to help students appreciate music or art

$1,200 – the average classroom innovation grant

$1,600 – average annual Random Acts of Kindness spending per school
