More than 70 teachers and school staff members who have received grants in the past year from the La Crosse Public Education Foundation will be honored on Monday, March 8 during a special pandemic-style Grants Award Ceremony.
Due to restrictions caused by COVID-19, LPEF is unable to hold its usual annual luncheon bringing together about 250 award recipients and community members for a celebration. Instead, LPEF is planning to have four times the fun and will host simultaneous gatherings at four locations in the District.
The event is FREE, but registration is required. We are limiting attendance at each location. Everyone will be required to wear masks and attendees will be screened before entry. To maintain safety, no lunch or refreshments will be served.

In addition to recognizing and applauding grant recipients, we also will honor:
- Laura Huber – Richard Swantz Leadership Award
- Mathy Construction – Corporate Partner in Education
- Rachel Gundersen – Distinguished Service Award
School staff, event sponsors and the general public are invited to attend to celebrate the great work of staff in the School District of La Crosse.
Due to the fluid nature of the pandemic, plans are subject to change, particularly if the District is required to pause face-to-face instruction. People who register for the event will be sent email updates prior to the event.
As a reminder, the event is FREE, but registration is required to ensure safety and adhere to attendance limits for purposes of social distancing. Please select your location and register no later than Feb. 26. Each site has an attendance limit, so please register early!
